Lactoferrin is a naturally occurring protein abundant in colostrum (early breastmilk). It binds to iron in food moving through your intestine and allows it to pass through the lining of the gut, a crucial mechanism in healthy iron absorption.

In addition to its iron-binding magic tricks, it also promotes good bacteria in the gut while helping kill bad bacteria. As a result, it's an important player in maintaining gut health and immune function.

As if that weren't enough, lactoferrin is also the star of our patented technology that produces bioavailable NAD+ and glutathione. By binding lactoferrin to these molecules, we are able to create stable, more absorbable forms of NAD+ and glutathione that can pass successfully through your gut lining.
